The Abruzzo coast is particularly unique and characterized by the presence of historical fishing machines fixed to the rock, with a light but solid architecture, able to withstand the weight of the fishing net and the stress of sea storms. These fishing machines on stilts are the so-called Trabocchi, from which the stretch of coastline takes the name "Costa dei Trabocchi" which extends between Vasto and San Vito Chietino.

Lago Capodacqua is also called "Atlantis of Abruzzo” because is on of the ten pearls of the Italian seabed and is a diving destination that attracts fans from all over the world. A magical lake with that fairy-tale vibe, which tells centuries of history of the Italic peoples, but especially the history of the Medici who bought the Principality of Capestrano for the presence of a mill that is now submerged.

The medieval castle of Roccascalegna is one of the most striking and stunning monuments of Abruzzo. It was built during the Norman era and it stands superb on a rocky spur from which it dominates the homonymous village. A breath-taking position that will give you the chance to admire a unique and suggestive skyline. A long flight of stairs will bring you to the ancient drawbridge and gateway of this magical castle. From this spot, you will admire the remains of the sentry box that protected the access and you will get the legendary vibesthat surround the entire area.

Rocca Calascio is located in the National Park of Gran Sasso and it is one of the most touristic attractions of the Region. Rocca Calascio has a very suggestive context and it owes its fame because it was chosen as the setting for numerous films like Lady Hawke (1985) and The Name of the Rose (1986).

This immense park is also quite famous because with some luck you can spot the Marsican Brown Bear there, symbol of the park and almost in the wild. All you have to do is walk along the Nature Trail inside the Fauna Area and get ready for the right shot!
